I don’t know how many people here read the webcomic xkcd, but you should. It is quite witty, and often has some good techno-jokes for those of us in the know. A recent one, for example, poked fun at how the Windows copy dialog will swing wildly between estimates for how long it will take to copy some files; certainly we have all seen this:
After laughing at this with a friend, she ended up seeing the following from an install of some software (the package is blocked out to protect the guilty):
