Well, it was the week of culture. Last Thursday Sherry and I saw Paul Potts at the Mesa Arts Center. They were great seats (front row balcony) that she bought months ago when I had mentioned that I could not stop watching the following video of his on YouTube:
And here is his semi-final performance; goosebumps anyone?
How can you not root for this guy? He ended up winning the whole show and is now on tour after making his first CD. What a great story…
I also made it to the Banff Film Festival over the weekend, which included a one-hour documentary about a local Phoenix paraplegic who attempted to make it up Mount Kilimanjaro on a hand-cranked bike. My good friend Roger actually went on the expedition; read more about it here.
So the next time each of are out hiking and complaining about the heat, or the trail, or whatever, let’s try to imagine doing it like this:
That bike weighs 53 pounds. No two ways about it; this man is a serious stud.
Wow!!!! Thanks for the link to your site Wayne! I cried when I watched this! I have to find it on youtube now so I can watch it over and over too!!!! Amazing!!!!!! 🙂
Amazing, you sure can’t judge a book like the cover, he is just great.
How was the concert?
